MORE ON THE CONFERENCE THEME
Innovation in science communication is profound. From using visualisations, to gaining new insights into audiences, to adopting new media, to developing better measures of the impact of science engagement activities, science communicators are working in an exciting, dynamic space. Science communicators are using data-visualisation, interactive apps, animation, new education approaches graphic design and art to make science more accessible. Insights from psychology, social science and science communication research are helping us better connect with our stakeholders and society. There is progress towards developing widely-accessible evidence bases and resource kits to improve the effectiveness of science engagement. The ASC2014 national conference will address these and other driving forces around how we communicate science, technology and innovation.
