Biography:

Sarah Lau is a science communicator, presenter and trainer. As the Communication Manager at ChemCentre, Sarah is responsible for the ‘public face’ of WA’s chemical and forensic science laboratories, managing external communication, media liaison, marketing and outreach. In this role, Sarah engages ChemCentre’s scientists to translate’ their work, in order to communicate its importance and relevance to key stakeholders and the wider community. In her role s a communication consultant, Sarah has created and delivered presentations ranging from professional speaking engagements to large-scale science performances for international audiences. She also runs practical training programs for students and scientists to assist in the development of science communication skills and techniques. Sarah is the National Secretary for Australian Science Communicators.
