Biography:

Jess has worked with with some of Australias leading innovators and research agencies such as the Australian Commission for the Future, the Australian Greenhouse Information Service, the Australian Antarctic Division, the National Oceans Office, many divisions of the CSIRO, a range Special Research Centres and Cooperative Research centres, as well as leading innovations industry associations. As a business owner at SciBiz Media & Communications, she has worked alongside some of Australias leading innovation-based companies, assisting them to realize their goals on an international stage. Jess was an invited founding member of the Tasmanian Science & Technology Council, for which she chaired a communications working group, and she has participated in sector and industry development reviews in Tasmania for many years as well as being a member of industry councils in the innovations sector. She is a three-times finalist in the Telstra Business Women Awards. Jess is a Founding Member of the Australian Science Communicators and was a member of their National Executive as well as being their Tasmanian coordinator for more than a decade.
